Brilliant trip on Ave Maria

Now back home and freezing. I keep drifting off to memories of a fabulous sailing trip on Ave Maria from Panama to Cartagena, Colombia. The San Blas Islands are paradise such a world away from the normal city lives most of us live. The 3 days spent in this island paradise was fantastic. Providing fond memories that will stay with me forever. Sindry and Paul the crew did a fabulous job of the trip. From taking us to their favorite fabulous secluded island. To feeding us the best healthy food and keeping us feeling comfortable and safe and safe at sea. Ave Maria is a brilliant trip and such a superb way to travel.

Ave Maria Sailing trip Panama to Cartagena

We are ready again to depart Cartagena, Colombia and sail to the San Blas Islands. Where we will stay for 3 full days and enjoy the paradise that it is.

Snorkeling and exploring the brilliant diverse coral reefs with their abundance of marine life.

Chilling in hammocks under the shade of the coconut palms which line the beaches of the island we visit. Of course with an ice box close by for refreshments.

We will enjoy an all you can eat beach bbq buffet. Followed by a bonfire in the evening… That’s just how it is in the quaint Caribbean paradise.

Each day we visit a different, just as beautiful island paradise. Then on our 3rd evening in San Blas we will raise anchor and sail off into the sunset towards Portobelo.

From Portobelo buses leave every half an hour bound for Panama City, costing just $5.

Living the Simple Life

What a way to end our time in South America, sailing through the San Blas Islands with these awesome travellers from all over the world! So much to learn from someone by simply turning up, being present and connecting.

Our days on this sailboat from Cartagena to Panama and island hopping through the San Blas Islands were dreamy. Five full days living completely off the grid, living the simple life, eating delicious food made by the best chef in Colombia. Snorkeling the coral reefs, relaxing and exploring the beaches and islands with the water oh so clear.
